I know it has been ages since I share my thoughts and writings here. I have been busy coping with motherhood. It is definitely not an easy task. It’s darn hard and you need to be strong yourself. You cannot be too mushy otherwise, you’ll be like me. Hihih. Dah jadi mak orang pun kememe lagi! :p

I wanted to publish this post ever since Kamilia was born! Dari sehari ke sehari :D So, here it goes, it’s a long one though! I wanna write it in detail so that, Kamilia knows when actually she gave us the sign! Hee.

17^th October 2010: Mak called me up from her pasar trip with Ayah, ajak me and my husband to join them for breakfast in - about 15 minutes drive from my parents place. Since, I have the cravings for quite a while for the roti canai so, we went. Masa nak mandi that morning, I noticed some brownish stain on my panty liner. Oh,through the end of my pregnancy, I usually wear the liners so that- kalau keluar tanda, senang sikit nak cam. So, wear yours ok! :p But, I didn’t freaked out. I was calm still.

Masa nak keluar rumah, I told my husband ‘Eh, kat panty- liner I ada brownish stains la... macam dah ada sign je…’ So, he asked me ‘Sakit ke? Dah nak bersalin? Tanya la Mak macam mana’ But, I didn’t tell my mom straight away tapi, otak duk ligat fikir-‘ Oh, cool gak kalau bersalin hari ni. Nasib baik hari Ahad, laki aku ada’. Kui kui kui.

Sampai je kat kedai tu, I told my mom. ‘Mak, I had brownish stains on my panty liner. Is that the sign?’ Mak Tanya; ‘Brownish stain as the end of your period punya discharge? Ye la tu… Ada sakit ke?’ So, Mak suggested for me to go to the clinic soon after the breakfast. Jadinya, makan la roti telur sekeping plus, roti kosong dengan air milo… :D FYI, I had the intention of eating at the place for quite a while. So, that was it.

Dah tu, masa nak berjalan towards the car… I felt something gushing out of me. It felt like when the blood came out; masa kita period. It felt weird sebab, dah 9 bulan tak period kan… but, I kept walking. Tak cakap pun… masa dah nak sampai rumah tu… I felt more liquid were gushing out. Siap duduk senget sebab tanak car seat basah. Haha. Sampai je rumah, I went into the toilet to check. And so it was.. . my panties were wet and ada one tiny drop of blood. When I told Mak, she said, ‘betul la tu air ketuban… pergi je clinic & bring your stuffs.’ She wanted to come with me but, all the ikan, daging and all the things she bought kat pasar tak habis kemaskan so, she told me to go first and she will come afterwards with Ayah.

So my husband drove off to the clinic and informed my mil while we were on our way. Dia pun nak ikut so, my husband said that we’ll be picking her up after going to the clinic. Sampai je klinik, I was the only person there so, cepat la… when I went in, the doctor checked the pad I was wearing. Masa ni dah pakai pad sebab, there were more & more water coming out of me. She had then identified the liquid soaked were the air ketuban. So, she checked my opening. That was the first time ever I had the doctor doing that! Sakit la jugak. But, I tried to stay calm. Masa tu, boleh lagi recall the breathing techniques masa belajar dalam antenatal class. Hahaha. After that, dia confirmkan that there were no opening yet but told me to go to the hospital sebab air ketuban dah keluar. Takut baby lemas. So, off we went- after picking up my mil.

When we reached the hospital, we were told to go straight to Kamar Bersalin. Dapat la kawan baru. Haha. Dah kata serah diri kat GH, alamatnye… I had to wait till petang- around 3pm baru lah I was oficially warded. Before that, I had to wait for the nurse to check on me, the doctor… the nurse again, the doctor. Oh yes, when the doctor checked my opening again- and found I was still not dilated, she gave me options for my case. After 12 hour of the leaking, they’ll have to induce me. Then, they’ll wait for a couple of hours and, if tak de opening jugak, they’ll give me the second dose. All should be done before 24 hours dari the first leak. Otherwise, kalau takde jugak opening and I wouldn’t give birth after 24hours, then we’ll have to opt for c-sec. I was like ‘Okay… gila scary nak bersalin ni’. Huhu. But, it was wayyy seram when she told me about the risks. Hahah. Padahal, she was only giving the worst case scenario. Tapi, I went to wonder ‘Padan la kalau perempuan meninggal masa bersalin tu would considered as berjihad. It’s a matter of life and death…’

Once I was settled down in the ward, my husband kena pi cari KFC for me. Hahah. That was the last thing I had in mind before nak go through the pain and berpantang. But, I was in no pain at all at this time. I had frequent contractions but never the consistent ones. If it weren’t for the air ketuban yang dok keluar while walking, I would have gone lari pergi window shopping jap ke.. kan? :p at this time, I just don’t feel like walking with water coming out of me. I had to change into new kain like 5 kali before the night sets in. While sitting alone in the bed, I’ve started reciting all the ayat- ayat and doa- doa for me to go through the process successfully. At this time, I started to feel like I’m dying, terrified but, excited at the same time.

My parents and mil came to visit me, bawakkan air kembang semangkuk, apa ntah they call the thing. Anyway, I dah minum se-tupperware tu pun, there were still no consistent contraction. By right, 8.30pm, I should be called for my 1^st induce. Tapi, langsung takde. There was no nurse to check the opening ke hape. It’s not that I was in pain, but… I was more like ‘cepat lah weh, I just wanna get over it’ bole? Huhu.

I waited and waited… takde pape. No pain, still. It was 9pm when I feel the consistency of the contractions but… it was not the strong ones. Masa ni, dah sedikit bersemangat. I was like ‘alhamdulillah… its coming!’ tapi, it was merely an hour je. By 10 something, dia dah tak consistent balik. Sedih! I started sms-ing my close family and friends. Minta restu and forgiveness. Masa hantar sms tu, I couldn’t stop crying. I was literally scared! I can’t imagine the actual pain and complications! All this time, I was only praying for the baby to be delivered safely and, healthy but… never mind me. If that’s that’s the price I have to pay, I’d rather risk my life. Yes, yes. It sounds like a cliché, but... That’s how I felt.

It was almost midnight; my husband, parents and mil were still waiting for me. I told my parents and mil to go home first sebab, kesian diorang! There were no comfortable places to sit pun. Huhu. And, my dear husband kept checking on me all the time. Tak tidur or had any rest since. Poor him! My parents and mil finally went home at around 1am. Then only, I told my husband to get some rest. So, he decided to take a nap in the car.

I was hungry and tired but, I could not get my eyes to sleep. It was 3am when I had just dozed off, the nurse woke me up. Dia kata, labor room baru ada vacant. Hahha. See? Kat GH, you have to wait for your turn unless… you’re in a super special case or have had emergency ones, baru boleh dapat priority. So, I was given the meds to pass motion, changed into new clothes… and, off I went to the labor room. When I was being pushed into the labor room and, not having my husband with me… I felt totally lost for a while. It felt like walking into an outer space or something. Tapi, sedih la… macam nak berpisah terus. Hukhuk.

I was placed in a room and the nurse had put the CTG thingie on my tummy to monitor the baby’s heart beat. Honestly, I hate that thing. Its sounds scary! Huhu. I had to wait for the doctor to come and check the opening again. The whole process took more than an hour! Ok?! It was 4.41am when I was told that I was 4cm dilated. So, the doctor said, tak payah induced, I told my husband and we were kindda relieved sebab the doctor said, tak perlu induced. Masa ni pun, I felt no pain, contractions biasa je. Its just that, I felt so tired and sleepy and, hungry! But, I heard screams and cries of orang lain yang nak bersalin. I was terrified ok!? Tak tau how will I be when my time would come. So, knowing that it would take hours more to go, I told my husband to take a nap before Subuh prayers. I was then transferred another labor room. Kamar bersalin No 3 to be exact.

I felt sleepy but, as soon as the Subuh’s azan were calling, I started to feel the strong contractions. Tapi, kejap- kejap. They offered me to take a jab; a tranquilizer that promote rest and relieve anxiety. I was very sure not to take the epidural but, this was not the epi. It was merely a tranquillizer that may help the dilation to be faster. At 6.00am, they gave me a shot of it. I was kindda exhausted, starving and was thirsty to death! I asked them if I could eat something as my energy was wearing off. Rasa macam dah tak larat sangat! But, they said I couldn’t. Masa tu nak nangis. Oh well, memang I was in tears the whole day long. Haha. My eyes started to feel sleepy but, the strong contractions had just starting to build up.

At almost seven o’clock; the next morning, I could barely lay still. I had to toss and turn all the time. Sakit sangat! When they called my husband in at 7 something, I barely stayed awake. Tak larat nak bukak mata dah. Nak tidur. Boleh?! Hehehe. But honestly, I felt the urge to push dah. But the nurses kept reminding me, not to, because I was not fully dilated and they don’t want the baby to be stuck. Masa my husband came in, he tried to get pictures of me. Ada ke patut suruh pandang camera? Haha. I was in serious pain at the time, boleh pulak dia ‘Sayang, pandang sini’ At that moment, I felt like screaming ‘Nooo!’ haha. But, to come and think of it now…. Kelakar la my husband. I know he was just trying to capture the moment. But, am so sorry sayang… :p I can only squeeze his hand hard to say it. But he was there all along. Reminded me to beristighfar banyak- banyak, baca doa Nabi Yunus. Over and over again- in my ears. Masa tu, I can only recite whatever he says. The pain was so real, I felt like, I could not remember other things at the moment. I just couldn’t. Rasa macam nak mati. Sampaikan masa I was tossing and turning; the ECG wires dah tercabut coz I could not lay still anymore.

It was almost 8am when they found me about 9cm dilated. I had my third stage of labor around 8.10am (I read the time in my hospitalization report- sementara tunggu doctor masuk) haha. But honestly, I could only register having a bunch of people coming into the room and say ‘dia dah nak bersalin’. ‘it’s time’. Seriously, there a crowd of people around me at the time. Masa tu, there were no word of ‘shame’ in my vocabulary. Lantak la orang nak kata apa. Huhu.

I remember to hold my legs so I would not put my butt up. Tu aja yang ingatI ingat kena angat kepala when it comes to pushing tapi, when I pushed, I tend to tilt my head back. Nasib baik la my husband was there. He was the one who kept my head up all the time. And he was there saying things like ‘come- on sayang, I know you can do this…! Come on!’ Hahaha. Ye, suami saya sangat comel dalam labour room. :p pastu, I remember the crowd said ‘push dik. Sikit lagi! Dah nampak kepala baby.. come on!’. ‘Push kak, jangan lepas… push, push, push!’ hahaha. I had to pause pushing a couple of times sebab I was so drained out, my lips were so dry that my husband had to help me sip some water. Kamilia sayang, it was painful to get you out, when I felt you gushed out at 8.26am, they were like ‘yeay, dah keluar’! When I had her out, my husband said ‘you did it, sayang!’and when he kissed my forehead, I felt like crying! Literally because… its over, the baby’s out! Rasa macam cepat and it felt like a dream sebab I felt so sleepy sampai nak tertidur. Hahaha.

When the nurse placed her in my arms the first time, I was soooooooooooooo touched! She was small but so adorable! I knew I love her since. Ni barulah love at first sight! :DThough she was screaming and crying, I said ‘Assalamualaikum sayang’ she was like the real teddy bear that I get to hold. Suka! But, I was so exhausted! I was so worn out that, I could not utter anything more. Huhu. My husband was told to take up the wuduk sebab nak azankan baby then.

That was it. That was the time I’ve delivered my precious little princess. Now, I know why God had actually ‘letak’ syuga bawah tapak kai ibu. Huhuhu. You could not imagine the phase of it. Semua orang lain- lain. I was lucky to be able to deliver my baby in a normal way. No c- sect nor the induced thinggie. I only felt the strong contraction for a couple of hours and, was dilating fast. Though nak tunggu the first opening macam sangat lambat… but, the rest was kindda easy la. I had to agree that the strong contractions were the painful ones. Nak bersalin tu tak rasa apa sangat kot but, having an epi wound is sure sakit lah. Terasa kena gunting okeh! *;*

So, to Kamilia darling, when you read this someday… See, how hard it was to get you out but, mark my word… there’s nothing in the world that I want to trade it off with the experience I had in delivering you into this world. J To my husband; I could have not done it without you. You were there through it all. I could never repay you for that and, to my parents and mil… you’re the greatest of all! Muchas gracias! J

Come & Go

Just a quick update.

I have given birth to our little precious princess on October 18th.

Nur Kamilia was weighted 3.2kg and 48cm when she was born.

She's an angel, indeed...

I feel blessed the moment she was in my arms

along with a loving and a supportive husband.

So, now me and my husband are trying to cope with parenthood.

Its tough.

Its tiring.

but, we're loving it! :)

Antenatal Classes

Me and my husband went for the Antenatal Class last Saturday. Sama dengan si ibu manis; Hanie! What a co- incident! Tak perasan mula- mula. Tetiba, toleh sebelah 'Mira eh?'. Hehe. The last time and the first time we met masa Ashylla's wedding last February. Dah lama dah. Anyway, we went to the one in KPJ Selangor. For RM80 per couple, I'd say it was worth every cent! Trust me! :p

The price was inclusive of the 3 meals (makan pagi, lunch & minum petang)- as the class was held from 9am-6pm. So, tak perlu risau about getting hungry ye mommies?! ;) Next to that, you'll be getting the notes that will be presented to you plus, a travel pack toiletries from Johnson & Johnson. Best! :)

Its a must- go not because of these things la. Its a bonus la but, being pregnant for your first child, I'm sure there are a whole loads of things that we need to know. Yes, you need to read, search and ask people who have been there. But I guess, in this class.. its kind of a holistic approach to the teachings. Percayalah that some of the things that our grandmothers & mothers had taught us ada buruk baiknya. All with the scientific explanations! Bagus kan? The real- life videos were really an-eye-opener. Kalau tak, I wouldn't think of Google-ing those things. Like Hanie said, Puan Faridah was so darn good at handling the class. She had made the class very lively and direct.

Oh, they even teach you on the exercising part! How the husbands can help the wives with simple massages, etc. Heheh. Seronok!! Even my husband had a great time attending it. Dia siap promote to his friends and pregnant colleagues! So, ladies- mommies to be, do sign up for it! This is the cheapest and the best deal in town that I can find! Like, seriously! The ones that I have browsed through would costs you more than RM100 but this is only at RM80 per couple. So, grab the chance ya. Plus, you should go early. I think, the sooner it is, the better it will be for you. So, here's a bit on what is antenatal class about and why you should attend one! :)

Antenatal classes may come in various forms, but all have the same aim - to help prepare you for labor, birth and early parenthood. Antenatal classes not only help you focus on your pregnancy and forthcoming labor and birth, but they also have a great social function - they're a great place to meet other parents-to-be. The content of the classes will vary, but should include some of the following:
• care during pregnancy
• information about the process of labor and childbirth
• a general idea of medical procedures and interventions
• the latest research suggestions about possible physical, mental and emotional preparations for labor and childbirth
• advice on relaxation techniques
• the opportunity to discuss the options of different labor and positions
• a guide to pain relief choices
• the chance to learn and try out massage skills and breathing techniques during labor
• the time to ask questions and rehearse the possible decisions you may have to make during the course of your labor
• some indication of the changes you might experience after the birth and in early parenthood
• breastfeeding and some aspects of newborn care

Whatever the class, the idea is that both you and your husband will acquire the skills and confidence needed to make birth a positive experience.

Its just the 'jakun' thing I'm going through.

Thus, I have loads to be amazed about!
One day, I shall tell straight to your face
Until then, let me just treasure it, ye sayang?

Every different form that I'm in; I always feel glad to have you.
Despite of the heavier weight and aches that I have to carry for these few more months,
I would honor you with all my pride.
Though, I'd like to apologize if I'm being too soft in handing that.

27th week

Time flies so fast! Sekejapan je 27 weeks. Gosh! I am in my third trimester!
Am super excited for the baby to come out yet, am very nervous about it. What to expect? What to do when my little one is out...?

*Sigh*

But, am all excited about it... its normal aite? :p

Well, there's nothing much to say. I'm getting heavier but, most people said that I don't look like pregnant- dari belakang la. They say I don't put on weight but, HELLO... ! My weight dah naik almost 10kg since I've found out that I'm pregnant :p

Me- at my 25th week of pregnancy & my siblings.

I can't fit into Baju Kurung anymore. I can only wear my Yoga pants and those of my maternity pants & cloths. I need to wear my husband's tees these days. :D The bad news is that, I have bought 2 pasang kain ela for my Hari Raya. But then, masa nak tempah, I ended up having dilemma. I can't be making baju kurung yang besar!! Siapa nak pakai afterwards?
So, my Mom and husband said, tak payah buat baju dulu. Just wear those maternity clothes for raya. Sobs. I wanted to have a caftan but, dah tak sempat nak tempah. Sedih je. But, its ok. I guess, I'd be bringing my bulging tummy to parade for Raya- instead of a baju. Hee.

Ok, tu je nak cakap. I kindda have the mood to blog but sometimes, I think I'm not ready to share it in here. I guess, this won't be a bride's blog anymore. I'm slowly turning into a journal... Huhuh. Sorry if I bore you to death!

ps/ I hope I'm rajin enough to blog blog more often. I guess, I have loads to share about my pregnancy & preps for it... and, my wedding. Blerghh! Dah nak beranak baru nak cerita. Blame it on the hormone! :p

Love- First Half

This is my 21st week of being pregnant :)
I am enjoying it very much!
I'm less than a half way there
and may things would be at ease at all time.

This is for my baby.
You might ended up bumping and reading your Mummy's blog soon.

When I first knew you're in my tummy, I actually shed tears for you
not because I hate you but, because I'm amazed by you
I saw a tiny dot on the doctor's screen and, it makes my heart leap
How happy I was to know that I'll be becoming a Mommy!

When I first saw your heartbeat, I was relieved!
Knowing that you're well kept inside me
I went through a lot of pain and yes, I did complained
But my dear, I just want you to be just as a healthy one despite of my twinges.

I was so contented to see your developing arms and legs
I can't stop smiling by the look of you- stretching inside of me
My pain and dizziness start to fade away
And this time, I was hoping and so excited to feel your first move.

I remember when I started to 'feel' you!
but, I was so eager to actually 'see' you do that
and, the first kick you've made my tummy bulged a bit;
it made me laughed and had even asked you to do it again!

Gosh, you're growing fast!
This is indeed a lifetime experience for me and your dad
We can just lay down and wait for you to move
Just to know that you're well and kicking!

I'll be seeing you in less than four months time, InsyAllah
We will never stop praying for your good health and being in me
and, even when you're out :)
I just want you to know that me and dad love you more everyday!

It feels weird that I'm blogging! Seriously... I don't know where to start -_-"

I think, I'm gonna start sharing some of my wedding pics. Especially from the Solemnization ceremony because, many had asked about Nik Erwan's dress that I wore during the event. Its a kurung modern; made up with plain chiffon with lace patches on the chest and around the bottom of the kurung. It had pearly beads and diamante detailing on the lace pathches and, I had a trained kain which I love but, unfortunately, I can't find the pic but, once I've find it, I'll update this post... k?

This is at the back of the kurung- the detailing of the beads are not as 'merrier' as the one in thr front side.

He even did my veil and, it came with diamanted Arianni's tudung! :) At the price I've paid, I believed it was worth every cent! (despite of having some late delivery :p) I was head over heel over the kurung moden. I still am but, obviously... it would not fit me now but, me and my bff rasa macam nak buat wedding anniversary shoots in our baju nikah. So, harus lah keep the figure just about the same. We'll see, then. Heee :)

Since I've been entering my second trimester... I kindda feel a bit better- in term of health but, unfortunately for me, my emotional state is still imbalance. Truthfully, I shed tears easily. Even at the slightest matter. I know I sound pathetic but, am learning to change that. I'm not gonna let my baby be a mushy person. I want my child to be bubbly! Like I used to~ :)

I easily miss home. I really do. Some things have changed. I can't simply go back when I want to although I have no plans of going out during the weekends.

I don't have the mood to blog! I don't have the mood to update my FB. I don't have the mood to go online for hours; like I did before.*Sigh*

To Qistin: Selamat Pengantin Baru, dear! May you'll have a happy and blessed wedded life. I'm so sorry that I couldn't make it to your wedding, dear. Hubby was working and it's kindda hard for him to get leaves these days sebab dia dah cuti kahwin macam orang cuti berpantang. Huhu.

My hubby always ask 'You dah update blog?' and, my answers are always the same. 'Tak, I malas' :p Oh, and hubby once said; 'Tak baik la you tak update blog, nanti... apa kata your readers and blogger lain!' Haha. Kelakar.

I know, I need to do the post mortem of my wedding. Many had asked about Sayang Creations and my baju nikah. Can I elaborate the details a bit later, please? Oh, by the way, my nikah dress was made by Nik Erwan Roseli. Yes, I blogged and complained about him in my previous post but the result of my dress was absolutely stunning! I was speechless over the details! (despite of, dia hantar almost 12am on my nikah- day!) Heee. Anyhow, I love the dress to bits! I'd recommend him but,you may want to expect a great delay of the outcome! Hee

Sayang Creations was okay. I love the dress though but, I had expected more in something else. Although people said it was okay- the flowers looks fine and all tapi, I had a hard time to get over it. Haha.

By the way, just to share you my little secret.........

I'm 6-7 weeks pregnant. :)
I'm having mood swings. Nausea and all.
The morning sickness is there but, on-and-off. I eat a lot.
A few of my pants dah muat- muat je!
I hate the fact that I need to buy any size larger than 'S'! *Ngee*
and the toilet is like the best place to be at the moment.

Okay, I hope I'd be well enough to update my blog asap.

Ok, dah lebih dari seminggu semenjak dinikahkan dengan my hubby. My fellow bloggers dah buat entry dah.. :"> malu je.. Oh well, do excuse me.... pengantin baru baru balik dari honeymoon. Hee.

Before anything else, I'd like to make a Grammy- Award- speech. Please :p

I'd like to thank my dearest parents & family. I couldn't have all these without you! You have helped so much in putting up my dream wedding! I didn't have a super lavish or an expensive wedding. Just an ordinary one but, it was the one that I've wanted. Yes, there minor glitches here and there however... it went well- all the way. :) To my miss bridesmaids; Tati & Illiani, you've both done your job tremendously well! And I do love each one of you! ;)

To my darlings; Mimi, Siti & Reen- thanks for coming for the Nikah's event. Sara and Intan; I just have to mention your names cuz you're my dear friends and fellow bloggers too! So, ada la 'extra' credit. Hehe. As to the rest of my friends & family... I just wanna thank-you for attending my wedding. Photographers and Photography

Note: This is a very long entry.
So, just bare with it! :p

Photography is one of the most crucial item in a wedding these days. We simply hire the professionals to do their job. And, I have searched high and low for the photographer/s for my upcoming wedding. Though the CS's team have stole my heart but, to hire them for three events- in Melaka; would definitely cost a bomb. Tak mampu okeh! Especially if I'd want the senior photographers and above' :p But, to those who have money allocations for it, please hire them! Hehe :D

I've started doing research ever since my engagement last year. I have put their names in 'the-list' since. Seven to six months prior the wedding, I have started contacting them; asking for quotations. But, you can do much sooner than that! Heheh. Then, I'd arrange for an appointment to meet them up- personally and see their work before hand.

Then, I have another photographers in my 'short-listed-list'. I've posted about them sometimes ago but, unfortunately... They don't seems to please me. Ye, kerja mereka bagus, for me la... but, me and Mr Fiance find it hard to deal with people whom always find excuses and delaying our appointments. Sorang tu, I had a hard time fixing a meet-up session in the first place! He simply texted me few weeks AFTER I've set an appointment with him. Boleh? He got back to me, weeks after.... Just imagine, how am I suppose to work with these people? I do respect his time but, he should respect mine too... kan? Kalau dah lama sangat baru nak response, I pun dah loose my interest. What a turn off!

Another one, I seriously LOVE his work! price dia pun not bad at all! The first meeting went very well! He has so much to offer with a very good price bargain. I knew he'd be THE ONE. But, not after when I asked for a negotiation in its pricing and conditions. He simple NEVER got back to me since! Salah sangat ke, if I asked for some negotiations? And, he never get back to me with his full and official quotation as he had promised earlier! I have made a few attempts untuk bertanya but, he just kept quiet. So, I had to chuck him out of my list too!

So, moving onto this photographer; Shazli. I've made an attempt to meet him up; to see the albums he produced. First time nampak, I thought... 'Abang ni garang!' hehe :p But, he's an easy going and a very nice guy despite of, muka garang! Heheh. Anyway, he had offered just about the same price as the second photographer that I've mentioned. (with the same output- album size, number of albums, etc). BUT! he had also suggested that we can reduce the cost by producing lesser output. (Smaller albums options). But, he was the one whom I'd find it easy to work with! What's more?! He's always there to give us good options and bargains!

No, I'm not here to promote him (directly) heee :P but, I just wanna share with you how I've come to decide him to be my wedding photographer- for the whole three events! :) I'd say that we have chosen him because of his personality. The humbleness and the work. But, I'd say that his street-photography is the best! So, am trying to work on his pro's and specialty ;). Tapi, dah la dia charge murah, and last week... he had offered me and Mr Fiance for a FREE pre- wedding photo shoot! Something that I've never planned. Suke gile okeh! Sapa tak suka free- stuffs? :P We'll definitely take the opportunity because I think that we'll need to be more familiar with him and his camera! haha. :D

So, choose wisely folks! If you have the opportunity to splurge on a photographer, you may do so. Get those with good testimonials & work pieces la. I personally love CS and Nurul Shuhaimi, Anna Rina, Hafiz Ismail, Shahrin Aziz. But on the other hand, there are also loads of other talented and great photographers who can work within your budget AND yet, able to deliver great work, being humble and funny like Abang Shazli. Haha (Abang leh kasi extra output untuk promosi free ni ok!) :D hee.

After some thoughts, we have decided to go on a local honeymoon trip instead of elsewhere. Although, the Bali package is cheaper and sangat mengiurkan but, ramai tak kasi pergi with the reason of, Mother Nature ain't doing well there. :p
And, despite of the keinginan yang megila for us to have a Euro trip, we have to put it aside too because, I am currently unemployed. Hahaha.

So, now....
me and Mr Fiance are planning to go to Sabah for our honeymoon trip.
(but, not Sipadan or Semporna at the moment. It's totally out of our budget! Hee)

I really and seriously need some recommendations on the accommodations part. We've browsed through Air Asia's Go Holiday packages and Mr Fiance said, mungkin tak de beza sangat if we book the place on our own.
Ada suggestion ke kawan- kawan- on how to make the best & cheapest deal? :p

By the way, through the Go-Holiday recommendations, we are very much interested into; Shangri- La's Tanjung Aru and Nexus, Karambunai for the beach-y and romantic feeling. Hehehe :D
(Mungkin boleh buat larian di tepian pantai & re-do the video clip untuk lagu Kak Nita & Sudirman- Bercanda di Pasiran Pantai?? hee)

But, kalau dalam town pun okay kot...
we are also considering Hyatt and Le Meridien into our honeymoon trip- list.

So, which one would you recommend?
Or there's better place to stay?

Erk, Salam Aidiladha folks! :) Sorry lambat wish but I guess, my lappie is not my best friend I have at the moment. Heheh. (After years, I can actually be parted from it for more than 24 hours :p)

Anyhow, I just wanna tell you that, me and Mr Fiance went to our first fitting @ Sayang Creations. The bridal boutique that will be in-charge of my reception dress, pelamin, accesories, etc. The result is, errr.. okay la. I have lowered down my expectations way before I went to the place. Knowing that, I didn't have the time to meet them up before proceeding with the exact thing. So... in the end, the colour of the dress was a bit 'white-ish' for my liking. However! The beading on the dress excites me. Hahah. Boleh ke? Hee.

I remember about Kiree's post on the boutique. Honestly, when I read the thing, I was freaking out. But, there are also some things that I have learnt. Kurangkan my expectations yang menggunung and try to communicate better- kot. Huhuhu

I guess, we can't avoid the 'vendors-from-hell' thingy. Mesti ada part yang kureng, tak banyak pun, mungkin ada sikit. But, I guess... you gotta know how to deal with it la kot. Kan? Kan? Huhuh.

I went to Metrojaya Sale today and,
I have managed to grab ALL my hantaran items....
Gila gembira! :)

And I've even managed to go to Beryl's Factory Shop in Sri Kembangan.
The chocolates & sweets were so cheap!
I mean, sangat berpatutan la harganya.
Knowing that the chocolate tastes good;
unlike coklat Den Dang or Tora. Hehehe :D.
And the packaging is nice too.

I'd recommend you to get the sweets. :p
Unless you have the allocation in splurging on Patchi Chocolates ke, Godiva ke...?
or anything expensive, sila abaikan free advertorial ini... :p

Exactly....

Here's the bits of updates. ;)

Emak and Ayah dah bising on card printing. I've tried to work on my own design tapi, hampeh. Tu la, nak yang best je. Buat tak reti. Result? Print sajos dari pencarian Google- print, edit, dan jadikan itu contoh untuk di hantar print. Lain kali, sila jangan berimaginasi terlalu tinggi (Just a reminder for meself.. :P)

Did some following up with Nik Erwan, he's working on my baju nikah dengan pesanan penaja 'buat baju I cantik- cantik tau... nanti I recommend kat kawan- kawan..' Ni adalah trick yang mudah untuk memancing. Hasil? Tunggu hujung November katanya... :)

We are not going to do pre- wedding photo- shoot but, having a framed portraiture during our wedding is the plan. So, we have talked and discussed with our photographer, he said yes and, we'll be shooting for it by early January.

Baju reception, hampeh... I tak tanya-tanya pun. Sangat tenang betol buat masa ni. ;)

FYI, I haven't buy anything yet for my hantaran. Alasan, saya sibuk bagai Rosmah Mansur dan lebih. Hahha. Dan, saya tunggu sale. Sale pun tak tahu bila. En Tunang sudah membeli beberapa barangan beliau dengan jayanya- tanpa saya. (Sila tepuk tangan untuk beliau) :)

We've met the Pakcik canopy...dia datang rumah personally. Bagus. But me and my mom think its kindda expensive on having a VIP settings for freaking RM900. Mahal nak mati kan??? Padahal, stakat Arabian canopy with inlay, chandellier and kipas air tu je... Mahal nak mati. Ke, memang macam tu price dia? Haha. So, jawapnye, tak payah la VIP canopy. Duduk makan bawah pokok lagi best! ;) Makan ala- ala picnik kat bawah pokok sekeliling rumah secara rambang. Jimat! ;)

Out of nowhere; today... I suddenly decided to have an e-invitation to my wedding soon. (next to a proper card invitation and this is more for my family & friends who have accessed to the internet je la kot~ :P)

It's not a must tapi, suka... gatal! Heheh

I was thinking either to have a simple video clip or simply a slide- show. Obviously, we are out- of- budget to shoot and edit a video.. Nak buat sendiri boleh je. Provided, lagi setahun la baru boleh siap e-invitation tu, lepas tu la baru boleh kahwin. Heheh. Plus, malu la nak cakap in the video, nanti orang gelak kan kitorang! :P

So I was thinking.... just a simple slide- show will do la kot.

So I texted Mr Fiance, dengan ayat tersirat.

Bunga Pahar Stand

If WLT is on the quest of finding her cake stand, I am trying to find my bunga pahar stand. Hehe Me and my mom are a bit skeptical with the though of giving away eggs- yes, it's tradition and people usually opt for the option. Reasons for it because.... saya suka makan telur dadar je, tak suka rebus- so, I take for granted, other people have the same preference; suka makan telur dadar instead of telur rebus. Hahah

Anyhow, onto my idea in substituting the eggs from bunga pahar looks like this...
(please use your imagination cuz I simply don't have the time to upload the pics of the one that I did earlier- (I might update this soon) :P))

I came up with the idea of wrapping fruits- like this:-

That is why I am looking for this bunga pahar stand that looks like that. Any of you have any idea where I can get bunga pahar stands like those? I just fell in love with it. Like head over heels. Hehe. Plus, tak payah beli bunga telur! and the thought of doing my own bunga dip is not so very compromising (Amy dah nak siap okeh?! while her wedding will only be two weeks after me... :P)

So, why should I risk the time? Huhu. My thesis and semester will only be over by November; InsyAllah. Then only I can have the time to really focus onto my wedding preps. Huhu. Two months is too short for me to start and learn making the DIY bunga dip and since I'd love on cutting the cost of the small things- I've decided to proceed with this idea instead! And, my mom had just approved my proposition with it. Weee! ;)

Although I'll be marrying someone from 'kampung sebelah' je but, the thought of of 'leaving' my family can really tears me apart. Sad. Pathetic. Whatever, you name it... but, I wish to be my parents'-little-girl. Always!

Gamelan vs Cak Lempong

In my previous post, I did talked about the Gamelan performance kan?

Ha... this is what my mom's updates-

1. Mind me, I have a correction to make that the band does not perform Gamelan laaaaa- it's Cak Lempong (Click the links to know the differences- nak tepek kat sini nanti, orang ingat ni kelas muzik :P) Sorry folks! I'm confused myself. heheh

2. At the price of RM400- this is what you'll get:

The school will send the kids to the event WITHOUT the instruments. Orang rumah should arrange their OWN transportation in order to get the things at your place from the school. By right, two cars would be enough to transport all the instruments- if you have a van, that's even better.
It's WITHOUT the PA system.
They will perform around TWO hours only- inclusive breaks. Usually at the peak hours of the event.
The PRICE of RM400 is the staff's price- since my mom teaches at the school, that's the price she'll get. For non- staff, the price may be ranged up to RM700++- DEPENDING on you locations and they will ONLY perform in places around Melaka. (Sorry to Hanim who's in Shah Alam & seems really interested. huhu. Sorry dear)

Thus, what I can suggest to all the bride-to-be's-who's looking for this kind of traditional entertainment for their wedding, why don't you try to search or browse the net whether there are any schools around your area that has the traditional band. Gamelan or Cak Lempong, you can decide which is to choose. As far as I'm concern, the Gamelan's band uses more instruments than Cak Lempong's. Heh, tu je yang tau- tu pun... my mom yang cakap. heheh. I was talking to my mom just now and she had updated me with the rate of the gamelan band from her school.

I was telling her earlier about having them to play at my wedding later on as I don't favor much on having the karaoke session yang melalak- lalak tu well, it's not just me, my parents too and, I have to respect their wish supaya mendapat kap-ba-ra-kap-ta-alif-nun yang menyeluruh ... Heheh. Anyway, I'd prefer a close- session for that- untuk close family and friends later on in the kenduri. Huhu. Its just because of some people, who can't really sing but, nak jugak nyayi and I find it freaking annoying. Boleh? Hehe.

Still, no offense to those who enjoy it la.. ;)

My mom told me, it will cost around RM400 (her school's band). Excluding the PA system. I don't know much on this matter. Anyone of you can actually assist me? The range of prices yang reasonable or other options in entertaining my guests later on....

Firstly....

To Diah,

Diah, I need to apologize to you for I was not able to make it to your kenduri bertandang :( Rasa guilty je. I headed back to Melaka for the weekend cuz we had planned something earlier and I have planned with my brother to go back together on Monday since we both takde classes. Furthermore,I have been busy since Thursday and tak sempat nak check on my blog. Friday night, baru perasan kat my chat-box ade Diah's message & in my previous entry's comment box too. Huhu. Sorryyyyyyyy sangat Diah! :( Anyway, I wish you all the best dear! May you'll live happily ever after k? ;)

Okay, actually... I have made earlier plans with my parents to go and book the people who'll be responsible in making most of the important things for my wedding... on Sunday (same day as Diah's bertandang day).

Sorry, I was sooo giddy at the place- lupa nak snap pics. I've tried on a dress and it fitted me nicely! Hiks :P Below are some of the pics which I think resembles much like the dress I've tried and wanted.... :) I just heart those long kebaya- jawa, the one with trains. Tak tahu kenapa, but I'm so hooked over trains since I-don't-know-when. Hee :) Dulu, I used to think trains are troublesome... Huhu. But, not anymore! :P

Okay, I'll share with you more details in the next post. :P By the way, the dress will be tailored made for me but, not for me to own- just to rent. Sangat tidak mampu to own a heavy beaded dress like I've wanted- with the matching tudung, veil, shoes & accesories. Huhu. Anyhow, along with this, I've managed to secure myself with the pelamin, set renjis, hand bouquet (fresh flowers, cascade type ;) wee!), bride's room deco and the arch.

And now, I officially announce my official dressmaker, pelamin maker and decorater is... Sayang Creations from Ayer Keroh Melaka. :) (poyo!.. :P- mengalahkan NGI and Rizalman je. Hiks)

Tadi, we got the chance to watch Nona with the whole family. After the coverage of Elyana's engagement... there was a slot of hand bouquet. Yang kelakar nye, it's exactly the same as I wrote in previous entry. My dad siap gelak- gelak kan I- saying "Ntah- ntah they browsed & bumped into your blog kot..." Hahaha.

Sorry for the long hiatus. I've been awfully ill and extreamly busy with my final project. Gosh! Tolong la doakan everything will go as planned and will result me something brilliant by end of October. InsyAllah ;) hee

At this stage, am still looking out for the best favors to be given to the guests. I am still very far away in term of hands-on-preps for my wedding. I haven't booked a single thing YET. Urghhh. I know. So much of the talking... actions elek! I have short listed the things and the people that I wish to hire for my event tapi, tu lah...huhuh.

As for now... yes, favors. The criteria of a good favor (to me la~ :P)

Something valuable (Tapi, bukan lah jongkong emas ye ladies & gents. heheh)
Something that is other than food? (I tend to ignore most of the foodies given. huhu)

Apakah?!

I have some issues over this matter with my mom. One thing for sure- we are trying to avoid giving away food and junkies (bukan sampah sarap- I mean, jajan & yang sewaktu dengannya- other than kids of course. Ape je nak kasi derang?!)

My mom came up with hand towel idea. It must have high absorbent quality. Cotton. Just about the size of Good-Morning-Towel. Ouh, and it must be given in a enviromental friendly bag- of course, it has to be made out of paper. So, after some browsing- I've found Ole-Ole Manis. The brown paper bags (like Nariko's) which looks something like this-

But the towel.... It's a failure. Still! :( Sobs!

And as for the kids- I have to surrender with the fact- kena jugak kasi derang sweets huhu AND, just simply because I have found this:

Ole- Ole Manis are selling these things really cheap! You can ask Nadea the quotations but these are selling at a very reasonable price. ;) BUT, in my case- my mom had asked for the chocolates to be placed in paper boxes like this....

For a more environmental friendly gifts~ ngeheee :P and Nadea had also quoted a very good bargain for it. My parents macam da hooked with it. Nadea is a pleasent person to deal with. She is really nice and very generous with ideas minus the extra charges.. ;) (Pstttt, Nad... can I get further markdown? heee :P)

Bouquet DIY

I thought of sharing the DIY version of making your own wedding bouquet. I'm not sure how much it would cost if we simply buy the end product~ but, since my wedding will be held in persekitaran sebuah kampung, maka... haruslah susah untuk mendapatkan florist yang boleh menyediakan hand bouquet kan? Erk, ke... tak pernah tau ade servis sedemikian di kampung sendiri? hahahah.

But, I might just get some helping hand from my mom or cousin- just in case pengantin nanti bakal sibuk- kalah Barack Obama on his conference week. :P (Sorry, the new semester had just started- I'm getting super busy but, I need to update this blog because I have the social responsibility la kunon. Hahah)

Which bouquet suits you?

I was googling just now, and I've found something which seems very interesting to share it in here. Some of you may have come across it but, I think it'll be useful for my wedding day and yours' too (if you haven't got a clue about it) :P. This article was taken from here.

Basically, there are three categories of wedding bouquet style :

1. The cascade is shaped like the waterfall, more flowers on the top with some flowers can be seen flowing downwards. It is blended with some greeneries.

2. The round shaped bouquet is of course round in shape with less greenery. The flowers are usually not from a single type but multiple types all arranged tightly to each other.

3. The hand-tied is a bunch of flowers loosely tied together to show the stems.

To choose the right wedding bouquet style, you must consider three things : the size of your body, your wedding gown and the look that you want to create for yourself.

If you want to look slimmer on your wedding day, choose the cascade wedding bouquet. It has a slimming effect because of its shape : from roundish on the top and pointy at the bottom.

If you are tall, you should go for hand-tied or maybe cascade. Never go for round. With the heels you will be wearing, you will seem extra tall on that day. To be seen as a perfect couple, you need to balance your height with your husband-to-be.

If you want to hide your big hips, go for other bouquets but round. Carrying a round bouquet will make your hips look bigger. Imagine people commenting on your hips on your wedding day. That won't happen to you because now you know.

If you will be wearing a sleeveless wedding gown, there is one perfect wedding bouquet for you. This bouquet is made for sleeveless gowns. The arm bouquet. It will complement your gown nicely. Arm bouquet looks like this:

If you prefer a casual look on your wedding day, go for the hand-tied bouquet. The flowers will look as if they are freshly picked from your garden and tied nicely. You will look fresh and natural carrying a hand-tied bouquet.

If you have a small body, a round bouquet would be perfect. The shape of your body and the bouquet will be balanced, thus creating the perfect look.

You will look slimmer and more elegant on your wedding day when you carry a hand-tied wedding bouquet.

Whatever wedding bouquet style you choose, you should know how to carry it well. Carry it around your waistline near your hip bones. Only then, the elegance of the flower and beauty of the gown will come through. When that happens, you will look your best on that special day.

Uhuk, I've always thought the round bouquet looks gorgeous but, I think.. I may opt for a cascade bouquet for a slimmer look, but thankfully the hand- tied pun okay! .. :P

Saya mahu dulang hantaran seperti di atas. Di mana mahu di cari yeh? (Apart from Dios Astana la... :P) Kedai yang agak- agak boleh tawar menawar. I wanted to go for something classy and fresh... timeless and vintage (hahah, x habis- habis vintage eversince Qis letak post tu.. :">).

I guess, kalau takde jugak- I mean kalau mahal gila babas, baik je sewa tak pun, hire je orang buat hantaran kan? Kat MG bole, Sher bole, Nuwoo pun bole.. hahah. Dari spend ribu raban beli dulang je kan? Haih...

Tapi... nak buat sendirik! Haish...

Nak dulang bulat, gold in colour, berkaki (bukan untuk jalan sendiri ye? hehe)... hmm. I saw yang crytal type kat Parkson itu hari.. cantik! Tapi, my mom kata... kalau sumbing or terpecah, mau nangis tak berlagu la... huhu.

Why so serious?

Why so serious on having theme colour for your wedding? My answer would be- I want to have a great combination of hues that would make the event more vivacious minus, the haru biru plus... I want it to look great in pictures too!! Ahaks! :P

When I wrote this post, I wasn't very sure what are the exact colours that I will be using for my wedding. Thus, after days, weeks and months of surveying, googling and browsing the internet... I am sure that I have found the theme that I've wanted ;) and now, I will share what's on my mind! Hee.

As much as I've wanted brown for my wedding, I have to be REALISTIC! (Harus tampar pipi berkali-kali supaya saya tidak berangan tahap melampau untuk mempunyai perkahwinan - personalized seperti Mat Saleh dan, untuk mem-personalized-kan segenap perincian mungkin akan menyebabkan saya dan keluarga muflis. Ahaks!! ). Being realistic means, I need to opt for other brown hues that's available around.

See? There are so much to it. You can mix up the colours all you want but- you gotta stick to the reality of course. Having a wedding in a kampung- may cause me very limited choices in choosing a lot of things! But, to come and think of it- you may play with the hues. Pick and mix the colours and suit with the things that you may think it's available WITHOUT having to burn a huge hole in your pockets! ;)

"Chocolate and cream are both great foundation colors that you can build on for any wedding" and "you might want to pull in some corals, and blush. Oh, and maybe a touch of gold. I think those colors would look lovely with the chocolate brown…."- Style Me Pretty.

Thus, just to play safe- I have chosen cream or ivory for the base of my wedding theme and yes, I would try to pull a touch of gold, coral and blush to bring it to live and... the chocolate brown shall go to compliment to wedding theme. Yes. Compliment- not dominate. You may want to refer to Qis's post for this because- I want a timeless and a-la vintage look. Ahaks!

Melaka Bridal House

Last Saturday- after Anil's reception, me and my mom went to three bridal houses in Melaka. I can't rely on their blogs, fotopages nor their web sites because- it's never being updated! Hahaha. Hmmph. Haruskah saya malu? Hahah.

Anyway, the first bridal boutique that we went to was in Bukit Piatu- near Anil's house. It's located near to Astana Moda's (Jakel) and Ariani's store and it's called Astana Cindai . It's on the third floor. My first impressions were; it's bit messy- unorganized. Unappealing- really. Tak berapa nak menarik. But, I guess it was it's branch in Merlimau where Farhanna had her engagement makeup done. Dia mekap okay la... Cantik je si Farhanna on her engagement day :). But, the boutique in Bukit Piatu doesn't appeal me much and perhaps because, I had expected much more kot?! Huhu. Furthermore, mungkin kakak tu tak berapa nak friendly. Hahah.

Next, we went to Mentari Kreatif. It was in Taman Cempaka, right opposite of Melaka Central. The moment I stepped in- dia tanya nama and they call me by name immediately! Rasa sangat home-y! Haha. Bole la pulak jumpa one of the owner's friend who's happened to be a photographer. Anak didik Saiful Nang- katanyeeee... (baca intonasi Kak Sarimah in that Astro promo :D). The boutique was well organized, neat, and the people there was super friendly! :) Although the albums were a bit out and un- updated, but I'd give two thumbs up for their super and great customer service.

The last boutique that we went to was in Ayer Keroh. It's in second floor, corner shop- next to Petronas. Deret King's Hotel tu... :) Anyway, dia takde web page. Hehe. But! Stop at the thought of it! Tau, kalau takde blog or, fotopages or, flickr or any social networking contact ni... rasa weird je these days but, I have to say... tempat tu sangat impressive okeh! :D really! Abang tu pun baik despite of, there were another couple and a family yang weddingnye sangat dekat.. haha. He treats me and my mom well! Dia mula menunjukkan koleksi- koleksi meletup dia... Ha kau! Ada tu, sangat cantik!!!!!! :) I told him the ideas of my wedding. The pelamin, the dress and the flowers! He quoted a fair price I should say! *smiles* Me and my mom thinks he's a pro la... I mean, he can elaborate better with my rough ideas. That's what I like. He sounded confident, offers me good bargains (so far...) and I like him most! Hahaha. My mom da kasi green light je... But, we need to discuss further kot.

So, folks.... apa lagi nak mintak and ask yeh? Cuz, I can only think about the pelamin, dresses and makeups- the detailings like the set renjis, arcs and others are not in my list yet. Should I include it?

Last Saturday was Anil's wedding. Many congratulations to my dear Anil... :) There's a story behind that mysterious gift that I've left you. Heheh. Anil, the story is like this (excuse ke-poyo-an saya for creating an entry for this.. haha)

Saya ke kenduri Anil bersama Ibu saya, yang malu untuk hadir ke majlis yang undangan- nya bukan untuk dia. Hehe. She was with me because, I had to drag her to the walk- in- sesssions at nearby bridal boutiques. My Dad had a meeting on the day otherwise, he wanted to follow me too. You see, he's a silent reader of my blog and, he clicks ALL the links that I have here and Anil's is included. Heheh. He was excited to see Anil's card arrived at home 'Eh, ni Anil sape tu... Lutaze eh? Ala, your blogger friend tu.. yang buat card sendiri.... ' hahha. Entry kereta Anil rosak pun, dia tau.. Hehe.

Ok, da jauh menyimpang. Hee

So, when I reached Bukit Piatu- there were so many cars parked on the left and right side of the road. Jem juga. Last2, I had to park somewhere in someone's house area- kat atas bukit. Tapi masa tu hujan pulak nak turun... my mom cakap ' Mak tak payah la turun, kawan kau je pun...' So, I said- 'Ok lah, Mira turun kejap.. bagi Anil the pressie & amik gamba then I'll be right back..'. That was the plan.

Masa turun sorang- sorang tu, cuak juga kot- kot salah rumah. Tapi, konfiden je jalan- konon-konon sebab nampak kanopi yang banyak dan lilac coloured scallops. Hehe :P. Pastu, nampak seorang wanita- berbaju lace putih yang lining- nya silver coloured. Dalam hati 'Hmmm, ni confirm Mak Anil...' hehe. Betullah sangkaan ku sebab, ade gamba pre- wedding Anil :) Haihh, lega! So, salam Mak Anil and I looked around- mana satu rumah Anil nye? Huhu, tempat letak hadiah tak nampak and the others were busy with their partners and all. Hah, da la sorang- sorang, agak mati kutu sekejapan. :P

Pastu terpandanglah pelamin Anil! Cantiknye!!!!!!! So, dengan tak malunye- saya pun pergi ke situ and snaped a couple of pics... :) Inilah dia.

Cantik! Simple but great!! :)

Okay, pastu pusing- pusing lagi... nampak la tempat orang- orang letak hadiah jadi, saya pun pergilah dan meletakkan hadiah saya yang tak seberapa tu.. Hee. Tiba- tiba! (baca dalam intonasi terkejut :P) saya terpandangkan isi rumah yang sedang membanjiri di ruang pintu bilik. Lagi sekali, dengan sesuka hati- 'Ini mesti bilik pengantin!' (dalam hati jugak sebab , da kata sorang.. :P) Masa ni, guruh sudah mula berbunyi- awan semakin gelap tapi.... 'Takpe la, kejap je kalau nak ambil gambar pun...' Saya pun berjalan ke arah bilik itu.

Tapi sesampai di situ- memang ramai orang dalam bilik Anil dan yang kat pintu tu pun tak nak gerak- gerak... huhu. Nak marah, tak boleh. Haha. Guruh berdentum lagi- 'Eh, ade karang aku tak boleh gi balik kat kereta & kesian Mak tunggu...' Jadi, saya pun bergegas keluar yang mana hujan sudah rintik- rintik. Huhu

Ini saje lah hasilnya. Huhu

Kepada Anil: Saya minta maaf banyak- banyak kerana tidak dapat nak bergambar and stayed a bit longer. I wish I had- buat laluan sendiri di celah- celah orang itu. Huhu. Tapi, takpe la.. mungkin bukan rezeki kita untuk ketemu mata- ke- mata, Haha but, InsyAllah in another wedding of our bloggers' friends. :) Kalau dapat invitation laa. Hee

Hi folks!

Gosh, lama sangat tak update... I've been busy lately and, Alhamdulillah... my grandpa is recovering a lot! The stitches are dried and it is in its peeling process. Its just that, he still couldn't get up yet and, its probably because of the broken ribs kot.. but, he'd started moving a lot- minus, the 'adoi- doi- doi'... :)

Honestly, the wedding preparations are going nowhere! I am in the midst of surveying the photographers.. Yes, I am like the midnight train plus, the additional delays macam KTMB.. hahah. Jadinya, lambat laaa :D

I was talking about the photographers to Mr Fiance the other day, and I blurted out a suggestion on sharing the photographer for our wedding. I mean, hiring them three days in a row- the solemnization night, reception on my side and his side (My fiance's house is 15 minutes away from mine so, one shot of the 'dosage' is the easiest! ;)) It feels easier and more economical... Heee, rasanya lah.

Okay, can somebody tell me what to look for from a wedding photographer? since I am so buta- fotografi. Hee. A picture tells a thousand stories! ;) So, personally, for a person like me- I'd like to see well edited photos- and the designs of kerawang- kerawang on the pictures are a huge turn off for me! Kerawang looks nice on baju kebaya tapi, tidak dia atas gambar. For me la, no offence if you do k? ;)

Anything else that I should look for in a photographer? If I'm importing them from outside Melaka, what else do I need to consider other than the transportation and accommodation costs? Ouh, do you think, having more than one photographer for the wedding would be better?

Another thing, videographer- what kind of things that I should look for? Other than shots & editing yang hebat? Hehe

What else I should look for or ask for extras? Please give me some advice and opinions and even you experiences. ;) All your opinions, advices & shared experiences are highly appreciated! :)

Tak de benda pun nak update lagi.. haha.. mesti korang bosan je kan? A few posts from my previous entries had me saying 'takde benda nak update...' darn! But, I've been away from my lappies for several days, plus ke-bengong-an internet di rumah... Been busy on trying to keep up with the urge to make sure that my grandpa eats, sleeps and okay at the hopital korok tu... Really... I am pissed with the nurses there... Grrr!

Anyway, I've seen a few of Dina Wedding's videos... Rasa cam jatuh chenta pulak with their work... huhu. This is one of their piece of work... :) Best je ada videographer... The other day macam rasa macam tak perlu je but now, I think I want one... I think la... will have to see how's the money is doing first.. hee :P

A 'lil prayer please...

I wanted to share with you some of the things that I've bought for my room- for the wedding. But, I am not in the mood of writing though. As in my previous entry, I did mentioned that I was looking forward for my parent's visit so, we could decide and start buying a few things. But, we've only managed to go to Sogo & Jakel yesterday before we had a phone call from my uncle; saying that my grandpa was in the hospital due to an accident. We had to rush home then-

I just hope that you could spare some prayers for him so that he'll be well as soon as possible. He had about 2.5" of huge stitches on his head, bandages on his arms, swollen and bruised hands, leg... and he keeps saying that he's dizzy. Yeah, for some... it may be nothing but, it hurts me seeing him like that. I hate seeing my family in pain.

I'm kindda busy at the moment and, it has nothing to do with the wedding preparations... sobs! I am soooo looking forward for my mom's visit over here next week so, we can do some clarifications and decide on a few things... :)

The first thing on my list is to see Nik Erwan Roseli for some final discussions on my solemnization dress!! I am so looking forward into it! ;)

Next, I plan to do a bit of discussion with soon- to- be- my- photographer....! I have a few in my mind but, I kindda like this one from Ariff Aris and; here some of the pics from him

Saya seperti jatuh hati dengan hasil kerja beliau... but, if any of you who can suggest any other photographer for me; I will be more than happy to consider them too... ;) I know that I am a bit behind (banyak je... huhu) compared to Amy and WLT (since we share almost the same remaining time on our wedding ticker... :P) Tapi, saya mahu maju jugak! heheh..

In addition to my worries; I had a nightmare last night... Ye, mimpi sangat buruk- I was late for my own wedding; make- up sangat horror with no reliable photographer and the surroundings were frantic! Ya Allah, silalah jauhkan dari situasi sebegitu... Amiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn. Huhuh

By the way, I just wanna share with you the types of pelamin that I'm looking for... I've always fancied white pelamin sebab ia nampak lebih cantik, classy, suci dan murni. I guess, what I'm looking for in a pelamin is, the tone and simplicity of the design and yet, it has to be classy and I think fresh flowers would just do the magic! ;) Chewah, ye... berangan je la dulu... sebab I am not sure myself what the local (Melaka) bridal house can do.. It's not like I'm looking down on them but, maybe because I haven't seen any. I have browsed several websites but, the pictures does not turn me on... Hahah, macam mana?? So, if any of you who may have the local bridal's contact number, please let me know... I will sure to check it out!! ;)

Reception dress

Since my solemnization dress had been passed to someone to take care of it; I now need to think about my reception dress. :) I went to Jakel the other day and found this lovely solstice lace. Chanteek! My mom also berkenan... tapi, HARGA nye juga chantekkkkkk!! hahahah. Obviously, it's out of budget. :P

I'll not be doing a reception dress for my keeping. Instead, I'm planning to rent it on first hand basis. Kiranya, it's made for us but, instead of buying the dress and keep; you only rent it. It will probably cost a bit more than renting the ready- made- dress but, it should be lesser than buying a whole new dress.

I have not seen any bridal boutique person yet... I see most of the bride- to- be's in my list had gone for their appointments with orang-orang yang sepatutnye. Haihhh, I still have a loonnnggg way to go. Sight!

My dad had been asking about meeting up with the bridal house person that I've mentioned in the previous post. But my parents are quite busy with their work- so, I should just wait. Ouh, for your info- both of my parents are my planning buddies and I tag them along here and there for the surveying... Hahaha. They get excited as well as I am kot.. :P Okay, maybe- a liltle more than I am. Sebab, they went to Nilai 3 without me- with the reason; 'saje je nak tengok- tengok barang'... :D and my dad is sooo rajin with the online surveying. :P Thank you!

Ok, back to the dress- I've not yet decided on the exact theme colour for the wedding yet. Boleh?? Huhuh. But, I do like to have brown tones to go along with it. So, I was thinking that my pelamin should be in white/ off white colour. But, deciding the right coloured dress is killing me. I mean; kalau fikir untuk myself je takpe but, for Mr Fiance too and, it's kindda hard getting him into some senses to think about the wedding details. Hmmmpphh. Respond dia akan berbunyi ' I tak kisah, whatever you think suits you... ' Eeee.

Maaf, saya suka menyimpang cerita. Haihhh :P

Anyway, I found this dress but, it's not the dress that I fancy but, the colour and the ruffles in the first dress is about the same colour as the lace that I've found in Jakel. :) Well to be honest, I am not sure how it would look in a Malay costume for a home reception. Hmmm. Will I look gloomy then??

Hi folks... :)

I have been really busy with loads of stuff- unrelated to the wedding of course; well- most of it la.. there are a few things that I have managed to get myself into for the past week... :)

Okay, lets start with last Wednesday...
I've managed to get meself a meeting session into his busy schedule!! I've been trying to fix the meeting for weeks and finally...!! I did it! And with it, he' s now my official designer and dress maker for my solemnization's dress! Wee~~

And last Thursday, my semester break starts officially. :) I can't wait to finish it all by the year ends.. hehehe.

I am suppose to meet one of the bridal person last weekend- as mentioned in my previous entry but, I didn't get the chance to... So, I had to postpone it to some other time.. Isk, tak pe la... I'm on a long hols anyway! ;)

Yesterday... me and my whole family went to Holiday Inn -Melaka for a high- tea session but, I have to say; the food were plain... I mean, it was something like the- breakfast- buffet- leftovers... Sangat tidak patut for a 5 star hotel!! *boo-hoo*
With that, I just have to give them 1 star only cuz, the floor wasn't that spic- and- span either.. hahaha.
Anyways, thanks to my Mom for the treat... ;)

After that, we went to SSF Melaka!! They are opening a showroom here- in Jalan Hang Tuah... Right in the MCA's building- I think. It was super fun!! Well, the stuffs tak la sebanyak in Sri Damansara's but- it was ok la... :)
Owh, I am now an official SSF plus- card-member! Hahaha.. with only RM50- instead of RM300!! :D Saya suka dan berasa sangat bahagia. But, it's not like I'll be slaving myself to shop with it but, at least... bole la collect points yang tak seberapa tu kan..?? :P

By the way- to the bride- to- be's- who's looking for the square- shaped decos like what WLT had mentioned- (looks something like this)

I'm not feeling too well these few days... I've had sore throats which I've never liked; oh, anyone does?? :P

Well, nothing much, I've some exciting news but... nothing has been finalized yet...

I've been asking around for the bridal package- in my home town. She seems like offering me a real good package... wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy below my expected price!!! *big grin* :D However, I need to see her first as we need to know further whether she can meet up my yardstick... Hah, I know, I know... I'm super fussy! Tapi, bak kata my dad; kahwin sekali je seumur hidup... InsyAllah :)

I've decided to opt for a local bridal package because of- the cost of course... I can get better price there I hope! :P Well, these are the few things that I asked her to include in the package-

1. Baju Bersanding
(L&P: 1st hand- I want a new one but, on rental basis la.. it will cost lesser than making a whole new dress for meself :P)
2. Pelamin- fresh flowers
3. Make up & accessories

She said that she'll include these items FOC:

Theme of the day

I was browsing through the net... doing a bit of blog hopping, surveying, googling and such... :) I know it's time for me to decide the theme for my wedding... 9 months to go but, I feel like I don't have much time though... huhu

I kindda like The Knot- a site full of wedding ideas. Although it's more of the Western's but, I am so into it.. Ngeheheh... It's NOT like I'm going to have the Western's theme for my wedding. Nak kena bunuh dengan my parents for wanting to overspend??? Hahah :D It's just that I like very much of the idea of getting the ideas... hee, faham?? :P They are soooo into the detailing of stuffs.

Well, I had black & white theme at first but, macam ramai je nak buat theme tu... rasa x best pulak... Da la tu, nak buat wedding kat Melaka- of course there will be a LOT more of limited things... kan?? Like the other day, I went to butik andaman in Melaka & the situation went something like this:

(Situasi 1)

Sales Assistant 1: "Apa tema majlis akak??"

Saya : "Rasanya, nak buat hitam putih... hee"

Sales Assistant 1 : "Ooo, ok la tu kak, orang x ramai buat lagi.. "(senyum serba salah)

Sales Assistant 2 : "Ee, kenapa adik tanak buat kaler- kaler yang meriah??? Macam akak dulu- hah, nak warna merah la, hijau la biru la..." (sila baca dalam nada Cik Joyah)

Saya : "Err.. hee" (dalam hati: 'eee, dia tak tau ke aku nak less- is- more???')

(Situasi 2- kedai yang sama)
Saya : "Oh, saya tak nak la baju persalinan yang lain ni... saya nak baju bersanding aje :)"

Sales Assistant 1 : "Kalau akak tak nak, kita bole kurangkan harga... :)"

Sales Assistant 2 : "Eee, adik, kenapa tak nak baju persalinan lain??? rugi je.. kita kawin sekali je, rasa la pakai baju macam2..." (sekali lagi; baca dengan intonasi Cik Joyah) :P

I think I am at unstable mode. With deadlines around the corner and finals coming up soon on the third week of this month. I think I'm going NUTS!

The point is... I get demotivated easily and in order for me to 'make- up' or get myself the motivations that I needed; I need to have retail therapy. And.... I can't do much of it because I am not working (now I wish I didn't quit from working... ngheheheh. AS IF!!) :P

I should be thankful to have such supportive parents who are always there to provide my needs and wants... Despite of me; who's always seems to be burning a huge hole in their pocket... (yeah- yeah, I do feel guilty but; can anyone get me a job that only requires me to work from 8am- 5pm, Monday to Friday only,non- stressful job, great bosses... :D oh, not forgetting- a really handsome paycheck every month??!!)

Oh, back to the retail therapy. I usually try to get myself something to indulge in- obviously it's gonna be involved with money! :P Apparently I cannot have the manicure or pedicure treats that I used to enjoy, nor the hair treatment and facials and stuffs that often anymore.

Nine solid years!

Today is the 31st of March and on this date- Me & Mr Fiance had been an 'item' since 9 years ago; back in the year 2000. :)

Alhamdulillah, we are still going strong and praying for our happiness and love to one another would last eternity- with blessings! Amin

No celebration and such for this occasion this year. Well, we'll probably going to do that much later; after Mr Fiance ends his trip and gets back here!

Nine years! It's been so long!! Sometimes, I envy people yang jumpe and get married in less than a year!! Oh, saya sangat iri hati okeh?! :P But on the other hand, this is what you'd call jodoh or destiny to be together. Hahah. We had started out this relationship while we were soo young... we were both 17 and now, we're 26! Time flew fast ey?!

I met Mr Fiance when we were 15- never liked him really. He's a chatter- box and love to tease people!! Saya rasa dia jahat back then! Bluek!! hahah. Owh, I met Mr Fiance through a friend and she was the one whom tried to hook us up! :)

We've been through a lot- the hard and good times and I am just soooo greatful that he's around!! And praying that we'll be able to spend the rest of our lives together, grow old- lovingly to one another (like Mak & Ayah . heheh), and may we'll be able to cope up all the hurdles in the forthcoming years; successfully!! :D

I feel like it's a long way to go still but...

but, I think... it's just around the corner.

It will soon be the semester break, the last semester starts, Ramadhan comes, then we'll be busy for another Syawal (both- Ramadhan & Syawal this year will be the last for me on carrying the status Miss/ Cik/ Single) hee.

Soon after that, the viva & submission of my thesis & final exams, another semester break, end of year, a new year starts then voila!

When I was twelve; I used to watch a cartoon show... It's about skeletons. I can't remember the name of the series. Why I'm telling you this? Because, I like it's starting- somehow sounded like a poem or chanting where it goes something like this;

'In a dark- dark town, there's a dark- dark street. In a dark- dark street, there's a dark- dark house and in the dark- dark house, there's a dark- dark basement....'

(or it sounded something like that) :P.

The point is, we were suppose to support the Earth Hour in Malaysia- 8.30PM- 9.30PM today; 28th March 2009.

I was in the car, with a darling girlfriend- on our way back from PICC- the wedding expo exhibition, back to Shah Alam...

What did we see along the way???

We saw lights EVERYWHERE!!

What a bummer!!

There's nothing to be proud of. It's obvious that there are still little conscious amongst ourselves.

But we still whine why does it gets hotter day by day? Why are we having all the unusual mother- nature disasters?

It's such a disappointment- really!

Remember the last time when I talked about this??

I am planning on meeting him soon. Discussing on the detailing of my dress... But these couple of days, I've been browsing quite a number of bride- to- be's blogs... and I have found that; most of them are sending their garments to the tailors or bridal house to do their magic. Means, they either bought the fabrics themselves or, got the item for their engagement. Like in my case, my engagement hantaran were excluding the solemnization's attire.

Then, I am having a second though. Hehehhe

I had decided to bake some cuppies for him and this is how the cuppies turned out. Ngehehe, excuse the messiness though!!

(I think, I am getting better in swirling those rosettes... :P erk, masuk kereta, drive sendiri pulak <= my version of; masuk bakul, angkat sendiri :D)

Owh, I have something to share with the ladies- Please avoid from showing off too much of our braveness... Seriously! I had learnt my lesson very well last night!!

Mr Fiance was running late to fetch me at home due to the bad traffic jam somewhere in Damansara and only managed to get onto the highway at almost 8PM (His flight is at 11.25PM which means, he had to check- in by 9PM). Seeing the clock is ticking fast, I knew he cannot afford to pick me up at home & be at the airport in time as the traffic in Klang town is extremely UNPREDICTABLE! So, I decided to get on the commuter to Padang Jawa; which is like- only four stops away from the house.

Once at the station, I've noticed there were like no one there except; a homeless and insane man. I assume he's insane because, he was practically talking to himself non- stop! He's laugh in one minute and sad in the very next minute. Jadi dengan berani nya; I walked past him and waited for the train elsewhere... Once I saw the train's headlight- I was like 'Yeay!!'

As the train approaching, I saw him heading towards me. Tapi, dengan relax- nye berkata dalam hati 'Ah, dia takkan kacau aku....'

But he was coming closer

and closer!

My heart beats started to pump faster and I felt the blood in my body started to be drained out of me.

(At this time, he was standing a feet away from me!)
Allah je yang tahu what I felt! Mula la fikir he's going to push me onto the railways la, he's going to snatch my bag la... and hape ntah lagi...

I wanted to cry!

I wanted to shout for help!!

But, I can't think and do nothing!!!! Silly me!

Once the train stopped, I headed into the first coach. (At 8PM, you can count the people inside the coach, I think there were only two or three of others)... I chose to sit near the door and close to this one abang.

But, this insane guy..... actually followed me into the train and wanted to sit next to me!!! OK?! Tapi, tak... he sat in front & facing me!!

I was giving a pitiful look to the abang. Dengan harapan, dia faham yang I needed help! :D

Rasanya, my pitiful look berjaya kot... hihi... Abang tu switched place so, he could see me better- just in case this insane guy decided to do something to me, he'd be able to see & jadi hero la kot... Hahahah

Kelakar.

He was imitating me who was on the phone with Mr Fiance. But I heard him saying 'Ha, aku talifon kau, kenapa kau tak angkat... ha? ha? Ko nak kena dengan aku eh??

Erk, and I've made a conclusion that he was broken hearted kot... :D

Oh, he got off the train, one station before me... which was like a MAJOR relief for me...

And once I reached Padang Jawa's station, Mr Fiance was waiting for me near the stairs (macam Atuk used to wait for me masa sekolah- sekolah dulu- mesti dia akan berdiri luar kereta to call me name!!! Comel! Hahahah)

Tapi, padan muka diri sendiri! Kunon nak berlagak sangat 'Independent'... Ha, hamik! Nasib baik nothing happened.. Alhamdulillah!

I've learnt my lesson well & Mr Fiance too!

So, girls... please be careful and cautious.

Ps/ I had my pepper spray with me inside my bag but, I just cannot think of it!! I was practically turned numb & mindless!! :D

I think I'm gonna start with my so- called 'Wedding Diaries' from now on. :) I am currently doing all the surveying on a lot of stuffs! I'm looking and planning along; from the gifts (hantaran), solemnization dress, designers, themes, the decorations, the cakes, the door gifts and etc. etc. etc... :P

I've been browsing a lot of bride- to- be's blogs!! They are awesome!! I mean ,they provide some of very informative information, suggesting some places with great bargains and a lot of useful tips too. I know it's too early to worry; some may say. You see, I don't like working some things towards the very last minute of it- especially my wedding! It will only be once- in- a- life- time experience... :) Well, except from my assignments la; I can tolerate a very last minute work ... hahaha.

It has been ages since the last wedding in my family. Therefore, I have to get all the new sources for everything!! What I mean by new sources are; the andaman place, the canopy services, the florists and the list goes on... :) but the cakes, I plan to bake them myself- along with the help of my mom and aunty. Ye, saya mahu cake 3 tingkat!!! :P

Something that had me tensed for my engagement was the dress! It was tiring indeed as the decision on the event itself was less than a month and a half. I had to choose the material for hours. Alone. Send it to an unfamiliar tailor at the very last minute because the usual tailor that I used to send my cloths to; cannot meet up my demand... huhuh. And soon after that, I have to send the dress to another place for the beading works. I dare not do it myself as the fabric is somehow scares me off! :P I'm not good at handling silk-chiffon type of materials tapi, gatal nak jugak!! Ha, padan muka diri sendiri :P

Yesterday, I got myself in touch with a new local designer. He's making his way up the ladder!! :) I think, I have found a good bargain. Really! Without having to pening on the fabrics, the detailing, the designs, the tailoring and stuffs. I mean it's a one- stop center!! You can get all you want within your stipulated budget! Weeeeeee.......... I am so thrilled!!

Nak mintak Rizalman to design my dress, mungkin la tak mampu.... I can only envy and berangan on wearing his designs.... like this:

This is what happened when I am soooo in the mood of updating this blog of mine. I tend to post a few posts in a row; simultaneously! Hehehe. Ok, prior to the 'More Cuppies' day; I had also received orders of the Blueberry Cheesecakes. It was again; from my mom's colleague...

(Oh, they are very supportive in buying and consuming all the goodies! :P)

Due to that, my mom had to bring a a few large boxes in order to fit in all the small ones- containing the orders! Awh, I just love making more and more of the goodies!! ;)

More Cuppies

All these cuppies were ordered my my mom's colleague. There were like 36 cuppies all- together but I had to do separate packaging as they were for several people. Please ignore all the designs. I know it's a bit crappy and ntah- pa pe; but hey, all these are my new 'toy' so, I am just playing around with the nozzles and stuffs. Hehehe.

And, there are only a few pics to share. I had forgotten to take all the pics as I was so sleepy! :P I had it all done by 3.30am. So, excuse me! :)

P/S; I had all the 'free- lance' designs. They they did not request for any specific designs. So, all I did was; hentam sajos! Hehehe. And I do not have any reliable or professional camera to snap all the goodies!

Well, since I have a Law assignment to be done- I have decided to keep this post short and let the pictures do the talking! Hehehe. So, here it is...

This cuppies were for Mr Fiance. That's the main reason I had the 'heart' in the center of it... Hahahah. Oh well, I don't expect u; people to understand what does the designs are suppose symbolized. Tengok saje, sudah.. :)

The next cuppies were given to my darling girlfriends. They had been craving for it quite sometimes... and I'm glad that they had enjoyed it very much!! :)

The aftermaths of....

My very own emotional struggles tonight; equals to: Me, ended up writing two posts in a row...

Cayalah!... Bukan senang, I may not be updating this thing as frequent as I did at this very moment... Hahaha... :P

Since I am away from school- and its been a week now and I have been staying at home most of the time.

As a result...

I have successfully done a few dishes for me and my whole family to indulge in! (Another few pats for me... :p)

I've been making cup cakes for Faiz's and Ain's smallest birthday bash ever! Hehehe

Faiz's cuppies- he's turning 18... da besar dah adik aku ni. Haaha

I've been making puff pasties and turned it into great chicken pies... (It was undoubtedly scrumptious!!) ... No, I did not say that! I only said it after I had quite a number of bravos from my families!!) Hahaha.

And I baked the 'Baked Macaroni'.... :). My first attempt in doing it; after seven solid years tak makan benda ni... Our neighbour used to bake this yummy thingy, and my mom had lost the recipe yang aunty tu kasi... So, here it goes.. Belasah aje! :P

My Very Own Engagement

After months of creating this blog... without any other entry. Hihi. Here I am :p

Therefore, as a start... I'd like to share with you some of my engagement's photos.
I have to tell you that, these pictures were not taken by any professionals thus; it looks a bit dodgy though... hahaha.

Let us start with the 'hantaran'- its the exchange of gifts between the man and woman as a token of thank- you's and celebration; I guess. It is usually being given away in odd numbers and, the woman had to add two items more than the man's gift to her. For example; my fiancé gave me five items as his gifts to me and, in return... I will have to give him seven items in return. I know it may sound unfair, but this is how the tradition works. Huhu.
